Where can I find my tire size ?

The tire size for your vehicle can be found in two placed.

Sidewall of the tire

All those numbers and letters equal your tire size.

Note: Please make sure that you check the front and rear tires, some vehicles have different sizes.

Inside frame of driver's side door

Generally, there is a sticker inside the frame of the drivers side door with correct tire size and pressure information.

We always recommend consulting your vehicles owner’s manual.

Note: If your vehicle has after market wheels the above method will not be valid. It is best if the tire’s sidewall is checked for the correct size.

Width:

The first number to appear in your tire size information is the width, in millimeters, of the correct tires for your vehicle: P205/65R15. Tire width always refers to the measurement from one sidewall to another.

Ratio:

Tire makers calculate the aspect ratio by dividing a tire’s height off the rim by its width. If a tire has an aspect ratio of 65, it means the tire’s height is 65% of its width.

Diameter:

Wheel or rim diameter is the distance measured in inches across the face of the wheel, from bead seat to bead seat. It’s measured this way because that’s where the tire and the wheel come together. In our example, the diameter is 15 inches.

The Maximum weight the tire can hold at its maximum speed for the tire.

Find your Tire size

Fortunately, all of this information is easy to find. Within no time you can check the required tire size for your car. You can locate it inside the driver’s door on your car, inside the fuel flap, or inside the glove compartment. Alternatively, you can consult your vehicle documentation and tire manufacturer specifications. You can also find the current tire size on the sidewall of your tire.
